Fun Friday

It’s Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday.

Now that that song is stuck in your head, commence Friday’s post.

It’s finally the 48 hours of sweet, sweet freedom every cube monkey salivates for all week. Fridays at work are a mixed bag. Time either stops or it flies by. My cube neighbor is on a solid “Funk Friday” bandwagon where he insists on playing funk music throughout the day. Needless to say, it’s an adventure.

Here are some things to help you make your Friday, or any day, Fun.

1. Cube Castle

Does this even warrant a description? If you don’t want to turn your cube into a castle, you need to get your head checked. I moved into a prime cube setup. It’s just me and another guy tucked into 2 cubes in the corner. The plans we’ve drafted for all the possible cube creations put the seven wonders of the world to shame.

2. Fro Yo Anyday Friday

Fro Yo

Again, no description needed. Fro Yo Friday, or any day, is pretty much guaranteed fun and happiness. You pick your fro yo flavors and can scoop all your toppings. AKA no telling the poor ice cream scooper to keep dumping M&Ms on your ice cream. It’s quite embarrassing to ask for more toppings. With fro yo you can have the tiniest amount of fro yo and TONS of toppings. Pure bliss.

3. Listening To My Super Sweet Work Playlist

Uhmm if you haven’t listened to this playlist, you are missing out. Check it out here: Cubelandia Survival Playlist

4. Take Endless Buzzfeed Quizzes

What spirt animal are you? When will you get married? How lazy are you? Who’s your 90s cartoon BFF?

Buzzfeed quizzes tell you A LOT about yourself. Take a few and discover a whole new side to yourself. It’s also a great way to learn more about your fellow cube mates. Gchat a couple good ones and you can truly find out just who you sit next to.

The moral of this post is don’t take life too seriously. Don’t dictate your day by some routine. Mix it up. Life is meant to be enjoyed. These are just a few ways to make your day fun. I try to do something little everyday that’s out of my normal realm of activities. Whether it’s going for a walk in the park, scheming up a new cube game, decorating from the free table, or finding some semblance of summer, do something fun, for yourself, every day.

^^ Point #5 was SUPER corny sounding. Sorry guys I didn’t mean to go all Hallmark on you. I just want to make sure everybody is making a conscious effort to enjoy life. ^^
