I haven’t made any type of fat kid treat in a LONG time. This is probably a good thing for my friends. But I realized that baking a normal, full-fat recipe every once in a while is something I do enjoy. I love turning something gluttonous into something healthier but sometimes you just gotta be Paula Deen and use butter. Therefore I made these bad boys:
Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Chunk Blondies from Averie Cooks
Averie Cooks is run by Averie Sunshine. She started off blogging to share recipes and turned it into so much more. She even published her first cookbook: Peanut Butter Comfort. I do have this cookbook, well did is probably a better word choice. Through many moves over the past year, I seem to have stored it somewhere I can’t find it, aka lost it. I highly recommend it if you love peanut butter. Here are what my blondies came out like:
I did not take any photos post cutting them into squares. However, they were a big hit at work! I tried one when they were still warm from the oven. I would definitely recommend letting them cool fully and waiting to eat one. May be tough but I think the flavor will be WAY better.
Happy Fat Kid Friday!
YUM. My boyfriend works at a school so I love to bake and just send them off with him so I never have to be around them, plus kids never care about their fat intake yet!
